How often do you currently use AI? If so, for what tasks?
answer. I don’t use AI often (except for the built-in Gemini overview). When I do use AI it is for educational purposes such as creating a study guide for a test.
Are you aware of the amount of integration AI has in your life?
answer. I am somewhat aware of the amount of integration AI has in my life. I know that many things are automated by AI and that AI is able to help complete tasks. However, I don’t know the extent of it.
How worried are you about your career path being taken or severely altered by the use of AI?
answer. I am 6/10 worried about my career path being affected by AI. I am planning/interested in the Engineering pathway and that has many things that can be automated by AI. I am sure there will still be jobs however less so. I think the job market will shift towards Human relations/human contact/costumer service
How do you expect AI to develop in the near and far future?
answer. I think AI will rapidly develop in the near future and hope that the government will step up and regulate its use and power
Are you preparing/educating yourself on AI and how it may affect your life as you become an adult?
answer. I am not really educating/preparing myself on AI and how it may affect my life. I think more help and education on AI (AI 101) is always useful as well as more awareness.
The anonymous interviewee seems to be aware and knows what lies ahead, especially in their career. They seem to hope for a regulation on AI- making sure it doesn’t interfere too much in human life. Like most people, they don’t seem to be prepping for the future, perhaps because of their hope in government interference.
